Apps, Activity and Wellbeing Interdisciplinary Symposium is an event organized by the Hamilton Chapter of AMHI in collaboration with w. Booth School of Engineering, McMaster University, KIVA and AOLM McMaster Student Clubs.

The Symposium entails lectures and panel discussions by experts in the field of student mental health and applications with human touch. The highlight of the symposium is a competition on the development of physical activity applications based on behaviour change.The goal of the symposium is to discuss mental health stigma in university students and the importance of physical activity in promoting mental health
. In addition, the symposium will also focus on barriers to physical activity and coping strategies with focus on resilience. ​The Symposium also discerns the feasibility of behaviour change techniques included in the physical activity apps and fosters a transformative learning environment by encouraging high school and university delegates to engage in app building competition.
