'A Converation about student mental health and wellness' is an event organized by the Thunder Bay chapter of the Active Mental Health Initiative under supervision of Dr Josephine Tan (Psychology) and in partnership with two Lakehead University student organizations, Psi Chi and NeuRIG.


The Symposium entails Lectures and Panel Discussions with experts in field of student mental health and Tai Chi session.


The goal of the symposium is to discuss and raise public awareness of the extent and type of mental health problems in university students and their impact. In addition, the symposium will focus on the importance of physical activity in promoting mental health, barriers to physical activity and ideas for coping these barriers.
